Helle Didi Galgalu Large Outdoor Knife with Leather Sheath

The Helle Didi Galgalu 14C28N Fixed Blade Knife is a large full tang outdoor knife with a rugged stainless steel blade and a beautiful, contoured curly birch handle. The blade is thin enough to perform well both cutting and carving, but thick enough for heavier tasks. 

The inspiration for this model of the Didi Galgalu was the original by the same name, which was developed alongside the South African Overlander "Voetspore Team."

This knife, robust enough for any outdoor adventure from car camping to bushcrafting, is fairly large, making it a great fit for medium to large hands, but is a step down size-wise from the larger Nord. 

The Didi Galgalu's double contoured handle is thoughtfully shaped to offer a sturdy and safe grip, even when you hold the knife close to the blade. It is crafted from carefully selected curly birch wood and has two brass rivets and a grommet hole that allows you to throw it on a carabiner or cord. 

The full-tang construction of the Didi Galgalu's blade gives this knife wonderful balance. It is hand crafted from Alleima 14C28N polished stainless steel hardened to 59-61 on the Rockwell Scale, and has a 90-degree sharp spine.

The Didi Galgalu comes with a genuine black leather belt sheath with white stitching, which is also made by Helle in Norway. The sheath has an outline of the continent of Africa debossed on it in homage to it's co-designers, the Voetspore Team.

This beautiful, practical knife is hand made in Holmedal, Norway by Helle's highly skilled artisans in the Helle factory, which is perched on the edge of a fjord. No two Helle knives are identical, as they are handcrafted with natural materials, but they are all inspected manually after the crafting process is complete to ensure perfection.

Personalization: Up to 8 characters can be custom laser engraved on the blade of the Helle Didi Galgalu.

The Helle Norway Story
