Helle Harding Rubin 2026 Limited Edition Outdoor Knife with Leather Sheath

The Helle Harding Rubin 2026 Limited Edition Knife was created to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the iconic Harding Knife. The Rubin plays on the history of the Harding, as the 40th anniversary is referred to as the Ruby Anniversary, and "Rubin" is the Norwegian word for Ruby. The color red is incorporated into this knife and its sheath. Only 1,000 pieces of this collector's item are available worldwide.

While the Harding Rubin's handle has the same popular barrel shape as the standard Harding, this limited edition knife incorporates ruby-colored leather, which is mirrored in the red stitching on the sheath. The Rubin's handle also has more layers than the standard Harding.

Some of the wood used in the handle is spalted beech wood unearthed from Helle's wood storage, where it has been carefully preserved since 1986, the year the original Harding was launched. Spalted beech wood is altered by a fungus that changes the structure of the wood, giving it a beautiful, complex pattern. This spalted beech is stabilized and cut into two cross-sections perfectly placed between pieces of newer, stabilized Kebony beech wood.

The Harding is an elevated version of a traditional barrel handle hunting knife. The layers of beech wood and leather have all been sanded to a barrel shape and polished by hand.

The triple-laminated Helle steel drop-point blade has a full stick tang, and is shaped to a Scandi edge by hand and sharpened to razor sharp edge.

This rugged outdoor knife comes with a genuine leather Norwegian-made sheath with red stitching and a belt loop for an easy and secure carry. 

This beautiful, practical knife is hand made in Holmedal, Norway by Helle's highly skilled artisans in the Helle factory, which is perched on the edge of a fjord. No two Helle knives are identical, as they are handcrafted with natural materials, but they are all inspected manually after the crafting process is complete to ensure perfection.

The Helle Norway Story
Helle knives are crafted by hand in the Helle factory, which is situated in the village of Holmedal, Norway on the edge of a beautiful fjord.
